Monica Gendi
D.M.D.Dr. Gendi earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University, and completed her residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During residency, she focused on caring for children and adults with special needs, as well as patients with complex medical conditions.
Dr. Gendi is passionate about creating a space where patients feel genuinely comfortable, heard, and cared for. One of her favorite parts of being a dentist is getting to know her patients beyond their smiles—building real relationships and working together to help them feel their best.
Dr. Gendi has pursued advanced training through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, helping adults manage sleep apnea and working to identify and prevent sleep-disordered breathing in children. She is especially passionate about how improving sleep can transform a person’s health and quality of life.
She’s also deeply committed to giving back and breaking down healthcare barriers in underserved communities. Over the years, Dr. Gendi has partnered with local organizations to provide dental care in the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Zambia, and Bolivia. These experiences have shaped her belief in the power of connection and the importance of building community—no matter where you are in the world. She speaks English, Arabic, and French, and is also an active member of her Coptic Orthodox Christian Church community, where she finds strength and inspiration through faith and service
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Gendi loves being outdoors and spending time with her husband and family. You can often find her hiking, swimming, reading in the park, or planning her next travel adventure!
